Thor “Mjolnir” Walkie Talkies – Review and Giveaway

Walkie talkies had not been around at our house until we received a set of Thor “Mjolnir” walkie talkies recently. I remember playing with some when I was younger but it was something that had not been thought of yet for our children. Of course our kids are 3 1/2 years and 9 months old. Darren (the baby) enjoys them just about as much as his big sister does. He, of course prefers eating them over ‘talking’ on them. 🙂 Darren loves to hear people talking on phones, etc. and the walkie talkies are the same to him.

These walkie talkies are in the shape of a hammer, which was Thor’s weapon in the movie. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know much about the movie itself so I had to search and read up on it. For anyone else like me, here’s a quick description about it: Thor lives in the realm of Asgard. Due to his reckless actions, Thor starts up an old war and is sent to live on Earth as a punishment. While there, the villain on his realm sends forces to invade Earth.

I think walkie talkies are great toys for children of all ages. They can be enjoyed as part of a game of cops and robbers (do kids still play that these days?) or just simply by going to different areas of a yard, park, or inside the house and talking to each other. I can only imagine all of the creative ways kids these days could come up to have some fun with a set of these walkie talkies. I’m sure I’ll experience more of it as the kids get older and interact even more than they do now as a toddler and baby.
