Lands’ End Mesh Polo – Review & Giveaway

I never thought I’d grow to be a polo shirt kind of guy, but to be honest; they tend to be my favorite shirts now.  When I was younger, I preferred black t-shirts and shorts, but now I can’t help but enjoy sporting a nice polo with some khaki pants.  In fact, with my career of being a technician and working PR for my new radio station, a polo gives off the perfect message. It make me look professional but doesn’t make me look like I’m overdoing it.

This brings me to the Land’s End mesh polo shirt.  This shirt is comfortable; I could wear it all the time.  I’m not just saying that either.  It just feels soft.

In the words of Land’s End: “We’ve made a great mesh polo better.” This is what makes them better:

• No curl collar that lies flat, wash after wash.
• Half moon, knit oxford yoke adds style, feels softer on your skin.
• Jersey-taped seams on neck and shoulders for more comfort.
• Stronger buttons are laser-etched super strong, and cross-stitched to stay put.
• Fabric is heftier and softer than before.

Unfortunately, the polo’s seem to run a bit tall.  The shirt seemed to fit my gut perfectly, but I guess I’m just too short because it was practically a dress on me.  I’m 5’7’’ and working my way to 5’6’’ as I get older, so this isn’t the first time my shortness has made an impact on my wardrobe hunting.  Still, this just means you might want to get a size smaller.  If you’re debating between the XXL (2X), or the XL, you should probably go for the XL, unless you’re really tall.

These shirts are comfortable though and they look very good and come in a nice variety of colors.  They’d make for a perfect gift so if you missed Father’s Day, here’s your chance to make it up to the daddy or daddies in your life.
