“Wow!” Says my young nephew as he reaches his hand into the handle side of the new Green Lantern Colossal Cannon, shown here in this picture.

The Colossal Cannon lights up and makes a shooting sound – but thats not all!  Load in the Green Lantern discs and fire the trigger, sending these discs gliding across the room or yard!  The discs are easy to load and even my nephew quickly figured out how to load them into the Cannon.

The discs aren’t very hard, so when my nephew thought it would be funny to shoot me in the back with one of the discs, I didn’t even feel it.  The best part is, the discs are a nice bright shade of green that seem as if they would be difficult to lose.

This toy wasn’t the only thing that lit up – so did my nephew’s face as he played with it!

The Colossal Cannon wasn’t the only toy we reviewed.  If you’re not a fan of gun-like toys, or are perhaps a collector of action figures, then fear not for the Green Lantern series includes action figures as well!

Not only are there action figures of the ring-wearing hero himself, but also of several characters including Isamot Kol, as seen below.

With only a few of the action figures being revealed so far, expect to see some great things out of this series.  Not to mention, the action figures come with their very own Power Ring included!  Now the power of the Green Lantern can be on the hands and in the hearts of all true Green Lantern fans!

Keep watch to Mattel’s website as they prepare to release these awesome new toys!

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Dad Central Consulting on behalf of Mattel and received Green Lantern toys to facilitate my review
and a gift code to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

  1. We have 2 of these and are about to get some more. FYI for everyone Mattel has the discs for $2 for a pack of 10 (you have to call to order them) …. I just ordered 100 and will probably order another 100
