Tonight my family had the chance of watching this movie before its premier.  “Truth Be Told” stars Candace Cameron Bure (Full House, Make It or Break It), David James Elliot (JAG), Belita Moreno (George Lopez, Diary of a Wimpy Kid) and Ronny Cox (St. Elsewhere, Beverly Hills Cop).

The story:
Candace Cameron Bure plays Annie Morgan, a marriage counselor who is confronted by Terrance Bishop (Ronny Cox) with an opportunity to host a radio show designed for helping people with their relationships.  Unfortunately for her, there is one catch.  Terrance mistakenly thought she was married to former fellow college alumni Mark Crane (David James Elliot).  This misunderstanding causes Annie and Mark to play along with a lie, acting as if they are married, and unfortunately dragging Mark’s kids into the lie as they go to spend a weekend at Bishop’s ranch.

Things start off going well but as Mark and Annie begin to realize they share feelings between them, it causes tension with Mark’s children who are still dealing with the loss of their mother who had passed away.  As Mark and Annie’s visit to the ranch occurs, families come together while others drift apart.   Will Mark and Annie admit their feelings to one another?  Will the lie they are suddenly living and sharing together be revealed and cost them everything?  Find out by tuning in on April 16, 2011 at 8:00pm – on FOX.

The Review:
Knowing the story prepares you a bit for this film, but as the man of my house I should warn you that, like ours, your younger children may lose interest.  However, despite that fact, it is overall a great movie for teens and adults.  Clean language and a true look at serious family matters is what makes this an enjoyable film.  Don’t forget to get your popcorn and candy ready as you watch “Truth Be Told” April 16 at 8:00pm on FOX!
