On Saturday, February 19th, Ringling Bros. is teaming up with the Second Harvest Food Bank in Youngstown, Ohio. Between the hours of 10am and 12pm, they will be giving out free circus ticket vouchers for every 10 canned goods donated. There is a limit of 400 overall, and 4 per family. If you receive a voucher, you must cash in on it immediately in order to be guaranteed a seat at the show of your choice. This is the perfect opportunity to help out others and to plan a nice family outing at the same time. All donations are being accepted at the Covelli Centre (2805 Salt Springs Road) in Youngstown, Ohio.

Executive director Michael Iberis, said: “Last year we collected 4,126 pounds of food at this event and we’d love to increase that number this year. The Food Bank distributes approximately 35,000 pounds of food each day and feeds more than 12,000 people in the tri-county area every week, so we depend on and are truly thankful for partnerships like this to help us fulfill our mission.”

There are more than 85,000 people in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana counties, that live in poverty. About 1/3 of those people are children.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could help them double what they received in donations last year? Every donation counts and will help many people. Be sure to get out your cans this weekend and head on over to the Covelli Centre. Even if you have no interest in the circus, it’s a great simple way to help out others in need!

*The circus is coming to Youngstown, Ohio, March 25-27th and will have 7 separate show times. Be sure to check back soon for more details and a family 4-pack giveaway.
