In about 13 hours, we will have welcomed our little boy into the world. Via C-Section. He’s being stubborn and has turned again so at today’s 39 week appointment, we had to schedule the c-section.
It’s amazing to know that our son is FINALLY going to be here TOMORROW! (or, more like today since i’m up late. of course.) It’s amazing to know that I will have a smaller belly and not have all of the discomforts I’ve been having the past few weeks when it comes time to sleep. It’s also amazing to know that our daughter will be meeting her baby brother tomorrow.
It is scary. I know a c-section is not a super easy thing that will leave me pain free and right back to my pre-pregnancy self. It’s scary to think of my belly being cut open, but I think this is the best thing for me with Darren being breech and estimated to be close to 10 pounds now. I know it’s going to take me longer to recover and to be able to do normal things when we’re all back home. I also know that after a c-section it’s not very likely that i’ll be able to have a normal birth if we have a third child.
Overall, i’m just feeling excitement. I have been very impatient these past few weeks and once I hit the 37 week mark, I started telling Darren to come on out! He’s stubborn though and didn’t want to listen to me. I wonder if this is a sign of how stubborn he will be. Oh boy.. haha I’m very excited about Grace meeting Darren and seeing how she does with him when we’re all back home next week. For now, she’s just enjoying an extra long visit with her grandparents. 🙂
Now I am going to be signing off the computer and going to drink one more cup of water before my cutoff time arrives in 21 minutes. When we return to our blog, Dave and I will be the proud parents of TWO children – one girl, and one boy. Sounds pretty perfect to me. 🙂
