I signed on to Facebook today, the day after Halloween and of course trick or treating, to find a friends post about Halloween candy that has been recalled.

These fun size packs were sold at Target, Shop Rite and Don Quixote stores in the U.S.
According to Nestle USA, the recall only applies to candy with the 02015748 production code and UPC number of 2800010255.
Lollipops have been recalled due to them containing traces of metal. Colombina S.A. has recalled their Mega Pops lollipops that came in 14 oz & 28 oz cellophane bags containing watermelon, cherry, orange and grape flavored pops. Affected Mega Pops can be identified by UPC Code numbers 0 14272 10873 9 or 0 14272 10862 3, and are in lots marked as Lot #1240695, Lot #1209708, or Lot #1209796. The lot number appears in a white square on the lower left hand side of the reverse of each bag.
Knowing the lot/upc numbers won’t be very helpful if you have any of these candies from trick or treating. If you have any of these products, i’d say remove them immediately.
I have found articles about this going back as far as October 22. So there’s a good chance anyone who bought these products to pass out may have heard and removed them from their candy dish. I’m sure there are plenty of others who, like me, just found out about this today, the day after Halloween.
